Get your kit.

Go to Lake District.

Another brilliant weekend.

Saturday Camping under Carrock Fell then climbing it and High Pike as well.

Sunday over to Cross Fell. Whiteouts and micro navigation.

Advanced ice axe and snow techniques.

You are all outstanding credits to yourselves and to your families.

You can tell your school pals about it but they will not understand.

It will be beyond them.

. The whole weekend to go in your books as a practice for your future expeditions.

Well Done.

Carrock Fell by abercolin.

Carrock Fell under a similar raiment of snow & ice as Saturday.

The descent route of the younger party on the extreme right of the picture.

Cross Fell

Cross Fell

This is what you would have seen if it had not been a whiteout and another meter of snow on it !!

The trig point & sheiling on the summit plateau are in the foreground on this shot, just below and right of the Gt.Dun Fell Trasnsmitter Dome.

Both only just showing above the snow this weekend.

To all of you: Well navigated.
